Day 1 – Welcome to Rome
Our representative will be waiitng for you at arrival hall. Transfer to hte hotel and check-in. Dinner in the hotel. (D)
Day 2 – FD Rome City Centre
After breakfast, you will have a full day tour, at a slow pace walking around Rome’s monuments.
From the hotel, a short walk will take you to the heart of Rome. Passing by Castel Sant’Angelo, tour will include Jewish Ghetto, Campo de’ Fiori, Capitoline Hill, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Largo di Torre Argentina, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. A complimentary light lunch will be served in a selected restaurant. The lavish baroque city centre will warm visitors’ heart and cherish you while walking down cobblestoned streets. Dinner in the hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Ancient Rome
After breakfast, a short bus ride will take you into the heart of Ancient Rome. A visit to one of Rome’s most famous landmarks, the Colosseum, to learn how Ancient Romans loved to entertain. Palatine Hill is the place were Rome was founded, Guests will visit ancient Palaces ruins, and go back to 753 BC when Romolus built the first shelter. The Roman Forum is were Rome’s life took place. A journey through centuries of history. After the tour, transfer by private bus to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Dinner in a local restaurant in Prati neibourhood. (B, D)
Day 4 – Vatican City – Florence
After breakfast, transfer by bus to the Vatican Museums. The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel are simply exciting to visit. The Vatican Museums are full of incredible art, outstanding architecture, and dripping in history. The Sistine Chapel ceiling is certainly one of mankind’s most amazing accomplishments. After the tour the guide will take you back to the hotel and tell much about history and architecture while walking in Borgo Pio. Transfer by bus to the train station for the high-speed train that will take you to Florence. Once in Florence, transfer by foot to the hotel, only 400mt away from train station. Check-in and dinner. Day 5 – Florence City Centre FD
After breakfast, you will start to discover one of the most beautiful cities in all of Italy. You will be swept away into the Renaissance as you are surrounded by beautifully preserved, architecturally perfect, historical buildings and breathtaking art at every turn. Walking down the historical city centre, oyu will visit all the iconic places, starting from the church of Santa Maria Novella, a fine example of Renaissance architecture. Continuing to Galleria dell’Accademia, where the original statue of David is housed (entry included).
It’s time to reach Piazza del Duomo and visit Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and Piazza della Signoria contains a myriad of buildings and classical art.
It’s time for a rest: we will have the pleasure to treat you with a very Florentine “panino con lampredotto”! You can only have this sandwich, a local delicacy, in Florence, so this is your chance! An external visit of Galleria degli Uffizi before getting to Ponte Vecchio is one of Florence’s landmarks and certainly the most photographed bridge in the city. It’s time to see Oltrearno: one of the more “intimate” areas of Florence, and in many ways feels like a small town. Back to the hotel via some cosy squares framed by perfect Reinassance palaces. Day 6 – Florence, Galleria Uffizi and Chianti
After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel for a guided tour of Galleria degli Uffizi, one of the oldest and most famous art museums of the western world. The building itself is a marvel and the inner courtyard features a series of intricate columns and arches that are adorned with marble statues. Inside the museum there is an immense collection of Renaissance Art from artists such as Botticelli, Da Vinci, Titian and Raphael.
At the end, a private bus wil take you to the famed region of Chianti. The name evokes wine and rolling countryside. Chianti for sure means wine, but it has much to offer. Scattered all around are smal towns and castle. One of this is San Casciano in Val di Pesa, were you will have time for lunch (included). You will reach then one of the most famous canteen in the area. Before coming back to Florence, a last stop is unmissable in Impruneta, where you can find out more about the famous “terracotta” . It’s produced from local clay and manufacture through an ancient technique that dates back to the Renaissance: just to make an example, Brunelleschi used this high-quality material for the dome of the Florence Cathedral. Back to the Florence and dinner in the hotel (B,L,D)
Day 7 – Florence – Venice
After breakfast, transfer by foot to the train station to get the high-speed train to Venice. A lgiht lunch is reserved in Venice’s hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the island of Venetian Lagoon, Burano and Murano, small islands just off the mainland that only add to the region even more outstanding beauty.
Throughout the last few centuries, Murano’s reputation has been built on its stellar glasswork, which you will get to experience up-close and discover why glassblowing has remained an important industry here since 1291.
The second stop of this journey across Venezia’s islands is Burano. Immediately recognisable by the village’s homes, which have been painted in a series of vibrant colours, the island is known for its incredible hand-woven lace, that even today it’s still considered to be some of the finest you can find anywhere around the world. Day 8 –Venice City Centre FD
After breakfast, you will explore the hidden beauty and fascinating history of Venice. The day will starts with a stroll through the Jewish Ghetto, such a traditional corner of Venice, then the quiet back streets and bustling markets of the city until Rialto Bridge, to admire its incredible marble architecture. The walking tour continues into the atmospheric neighborhoods of the city, across countless bridges and quiet piazzas. Marco Polo’s house, and more secluded areas off the beaten path like Santa Maria Formosa, a wonderful square, and Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo also called The “Pantheon” of Venice. You will head towards the Arsenal, passing by Campo San Zaccaria with its beautiful Church, San Giorgio degli Schiavoni and through the neighborhood of Castello. Time for lunch (not included) before continuing the tour. It’s time to have a walk around the famous St. Mark’s Square and from its centre you will discover facts and details on all important monuments that overlook this majestic Piazza! Learn origins, history and description of the main monuments. You will enter without wasting any time waiting in line in Saint Mark’s Basilica, known as the Golden Basilica for the amount of works of art and treasures. It’s time to get on a gondola for an amazing ride through the Grand Canal and minor. You will have fun while passing under little bridges, just sit back and enjoy that quintessential Venetian moment. Back to the hotel for dinner. (B,D)
