Booking Terms and Conditions

All purchases made through this website are subject to the following Terms & Conditions. In any and all bookings, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions on behalf of the guest(s) named in the booking.
Products offered by Travel Experience in Italy are valid as per the dates and times displayed at www.travelexperienceinitaly.com.
Travel Experience in Italy is not responsible or liable for any information that it does not directly provide.
Should any doubt or dispute with said Terms & Conditions arise before booking, it is advised to contact us before placing your booking and submitting payment. Upon release of payment and guarantee of booking, all guests submit 100% compliance to the following Terms & Conditions Policy.
No variation to these Terms & Conditions shall be of any effect unless made in writing by and with the authority of the company.

Payments and Bookings

All tours are fulfilled and provided by I Viaggi di Aluvè SNC, who owns Travel Experience in Italy. I Viaggi di Aluvè is an Italian Unlimited Liability Company, fully licensed to operate as a Tour Operator and a Travel Agency. Elements of your guided walk/tour may be provided by third parties under a contract with I Viaggi di Aluvè SNC.
The company requires full payment in advance of tour/service in order to secure your reservation. We only accept payments through our secure online booking system. Your payment will be processed by I Viaggi di Aluvè, the bookings and payment processor for travelexperienceinitaly.com. Your payment will be noted on your card as: I Viaggi di Aluvè SNC.
We only guarantee reservations made at least 48 hours in advance of the desired tour date. On occasion, we are able to accept last minute reservations. Call us at +393518878483 (WhatsApp) or send us an email to info@travelexperienceinitaly.com

Full Upfront Payment of Services

Due to the complex planning, logistics, and ticket issuing that goes into guests’ tours, the company cannot guarantee any tour without full payment upfront. Please verify that the service(s) and cost(s) displayed in your shopping cart are correct before finalizing payment.


Tours listed on this site are displayed and priced in local currency, unless otherwise noted at the top of the page or on the page. All bookings are processed in € (Euro). Guests accept any and all fees associated with booking tours using credit card.

Pricing & Inclusions/Exclusions

  • Prices listed on travelexperienceiniitaly.com website are per person, unless otherwise specified.
  • Price quotations are subject to change without notice, until a booking has been confirmed.
  • Prices include transportation in deluxe coaches, English-speaking local guide, entrance fees, meals where mentioned (drinks not included unless specified), IVA (VAT) in accordance with the law.
  • Prices do not include tips/gratuities to tour directors, drivers or local guides;
  • Prices include baggage and personal insurance.

Partecipating in Guided Tours

When booking and participating in a tour, guests are responsible for selecting a tour that suits his or her abilities, fitness level and general wellness. Please read individual tour descriptions carefully to learn the requirements and recommendations for each tour. Travel Experience in Italy is not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of (but not limited to): physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; consumption of alcoholic beverages; civil unrest; terrorism; breakdown of equipment; the adequacy of medical attention once provided.
Guests grant Travel Experience in Italy express permission to take photographs or make video documentation of its tours for promotional and commercial use, as well as approval of such use by third parties with whom Travel Experience in Italy may engage in joint marketing, without financial remuneration.

Early Colosseum Underground Booking

At Travel Experience in Italy, we try our best to keep our calendar as updated as possible with the latest availabilities from the Colosseum. 
However, as the Colosseum gradually releases availabilities for tickets throughout the year, and the tickets for the period selected might have not been released yet, tour times might have a slight variation in time/day depending on availability. 
This would be the case with any supplier. We will be able to provide the availability right after the release of reservations and we will always do our best to make sure your tour will start on the same date and time chosen. In any case, if your booking will be subject to changes till that time we will inform you, and according to our cancellation policy, you will be eligible to get a full refund. 

Delays on Group Tours / Private Tours / Private Transfer Services

Upon booking of a service, you will receive a confirmation email with relevant details on meeting location and specific meeting time. Guests are asked to arrive to the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Give yourself ample time to reach meeting points. If you or your travel companions are running late or need assistance in finding the meeting point, please call our office at the number provided in your confirmation email, and we will do our best to assist you, however it is your ultimate responsibility to reach a meeting point on time. The operator is not responsible for failure to arrive at a tour meeting point on time. Please see the no show/late arrival clause.


Cancelling or amending a booking with travelexperienceinitaly.com can result in cancellation/amendment fees being applied by Travel Experience in Italy as outlined on our cancellation policy.
Any cancellation/amendment must be communicated via e-mail to:  info@travelexperienceinitaly.com  
A booking is considered successfully canceled or amended only after company sends successful notification via email and cancellation/amendment fees are assessed.

Promotional Codes

If you have a coupon code or qualify for a discount, it must be applied BEFORE purchase. Contact us for more information. Travel Experience in Italy cannot apply any retroactive discounts. Promotional codes cannot be stacked, consolidated, transferred, or re-used, unless otherwise noted. All promotional codes have an expiration date, whether explicit or not. Expiration dates are set at 1 year from issuance when no date is explicitly noted.

Valid Identification

Please ensure that all members of your party have a valid ID on them on the day of the visit. This is particularly important for guests who have qualified for a reduction based on age or student status. Students should bring a valid photo ID to every tour.

Refunds on Unused Services

All Travel Experience in Italy tours are sold as an entire package; as such there will be no offers of partial refunds for portions of a service that a guest has decided not to utilize. If a guest has pre-purchased tickets to any sites visited, or tours or site visits similar to the tour booked from an outside vendor, the company is not responsible/liable for the reimbursement or prorating of any such fees.

Travel Insurance

The company strongly recommends guests arrange travel insurance to cover cancellations and delays due to unforeseen circumstances, or those beyond all control (e.g. inclement weather, strikes, seismic events). It is also recommended guests arrange medical and personal insurance to cover any medical expenses, loss of baggage, loss of personal belongings, or other such travel mishaps. Guests agree both the company and any local partner operators are not liable for any of such unforeseen circumstances, and hold both parties harmless. All claims to reimbursements for insurance must go directly through the insurance provider, and not through Travel Experience in Italy or its affiliates.


Travel Experience in Italy and its websites, brands, subsidiaries, affiliated entities, employees and agents act only as agent for the various suppliers that provide transportation, sightseeing, guiding, accompaniment, escort, activities, or other services connected with any booked tours. Such services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers. Travel Experience of Italy and its respective employees neither own nor operate any person or entity which is to, or does, provide goods or services for these trips, tours and forms of transportation, and, as a result, do not maintain any control over the personnel, equipment, or operations of these suppliers, and assume no liability for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of (1) sickness, weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws or other such causes (2) any wrongful, negligent, willful, or unauthorized acts, defect, omissions or default on the part of any of the tour suppliers, or other employees or agents in performing these services, (3) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, instrument owned, operated or otherwise by any of these suppliers, or (4) any wrongful, willful, or negligent act or omissions on any part of any other party not under the direct supervision, control or ownership of Travel Experience in Italy. All services and accommodations are subject to the laws and regulations of the country in which they are provided. Travel Experience in Italy is not responsible for any baggage or personal effects of any individual participating in the tours or trips arranged by Travel Experience in Italy. Individual travelers are responsible for purchasing a travel insurance policy, if desired, that will cover some of the expenses associated with the loss of luggage or personal effects.

Force Majure

If a site, attraction, or visit on your schedule tour service/itinerary is closed due to force majeure, including strikes or other unforeseen closures, Travel Experience in Italy will do its best to contact guests soon as possible, and offer a suitable substitution, reschedule a different service, or provide a refund, pending availability and at full company discretion.


This terms & conditions is agreement is governed by Italian law and, in case of a dispute that cannot be settled amicably, exclusive jurisdiction is conferred on the Italy court. Guests agree that any controversy between the parties to this agreement involving the construction or application of any of the terms, provisions, or conditions of this agreement, shall on written request of either party served on the other, be submitted first to mediation and then if still unresolved to binding arbitration. Guests agree the company will set venue and jurisdiction of any suit arising from a dispute.

Partial Invalidity

If any provision of this policy is held by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect without being impaired or invalidated in any way.

Containment of Entire Policy

This terms and conditions policy is an independent document and supersedes any and all other agreements, either oral or in writing, between the parties hereto. Please see the supplement regulation regarding cancellation and amendment policies.

Cancellation Policy

In order to provide the highest level of service with top guides and guaranteed tour departures, cancellations and amendments may be subject to fees. The policy applies to all group and private tours listed and booked through travelexperienceinitaly.com, on a per person and per tour basis.

Refund Policy

We at Travel Experience in Italy are familiar with the hassles and difficulties that inevitably arise when planning an international vacation. Therefore, we are more than happy to work with you, should you find yourself in an unexpected situation and need to cancel or reschedule your tour.

  • A 100% refund is offered for any tour canceled at least one month (31 days) prior to the scheduled tour date.
  • A 70% refund is offered for group tours canceled within 30 days to 15 days prior to the scheduled tour date.
  • A 50% refund is offered for group tours canceled within 15 to 7 days of the scheduled tour date.
  • No refund offered for tours cancelled within 7 days from the tour date or missed tours.

We are unfortunately unable to refund missed tours or tours that are not canceled ahead of time. When possible, we will work with the client to reschedule a tour. But Please keep in mind that it is not always possible to reschedule tours (particularly tours of the Vatican or the Colosseum for reason tight to venues ticketing policy).
In case you need to amend your reservation, we will do our best to reschedule it, based upon availability.

Late Arrivals & No Shows

Late arrivals and no shows are nonrefundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.
We cannot guarantee you will find your guide if you fail to arrive at the meeting point on time. In the event this occurs, Travel Experience in Italy is not responsible for any claim of refund or even partial refund. We will do our best to accommodate you if you arrive late and the tour has already begun, however, no refunds will be issued, in accordance with our cancellation policy, if you are unable to join us due to late arrival.

Changes to this Policy

From time to time, the terms of this policy may change at the Company’s discretion. In the event of such changes, the new policy will apply for all tours booked after the date and time of the policy change. Passports, Visas & Insurance

It is the responsibility of all passengers, regardless of nationality and destination, to check with the consulate of the country they are visiting for current entry requirements.
As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, we recommend that you verify health and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate prior to departure.
We strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy prior to departure. If you cancel your trip or significantly alter travel dates, many policies will reimburse the cost of cancellation fees and related expenses.
